Jumping on the Project Life Train
Yep, you read it, I'm joining the Project Life party. If any of you read my blog or knew me in 2007/2008 you know I ran a website called The Everyday Scrapper. I use to LOVE scrapbooking so much that I reviewed companies products and then made videos on youtube... looking back I'm not sure how I had friends in college, so ahead of the game.
Well I stopped scrapbooking for personal reasons in 2008, but apparently my hoarding skills have paid off. I'm jumping on the Project Life train and only spent $28 on a binder and my first pack of page protectors. Easy enough, I'm on the waiting list for Studio Calico and until then I'm using only supplies I have on hand. I'm excited to dive into a paper project again, but also extremely overwhelmed. I've been searching the internet for PLifers and getting inspiration, wow some people have an amazing eye for design.

In the end I guess it doesn't matter if it's Ali Edwards quality because I will have documented out first year as a married couple. We get one year together followed by one year apart, so I figure these pages will be my lifeline while Rob is gone. Now I just have to wait for my binder and pockets to arrive! Who else is doing PL, link me to it please!

Workout Cheat Sheets
So if anyone is like me, they pin all these amazing workouts and then when you get to the gym you have no idea what to do? Well I got pretty tired of trying to run on the treadmill or elliptical while looking at my phone. Seriously, one time I fell off the elliptical and gashed my shin... real cute.
I came up with a very effective way to bring the workouts to the gym. Here is what I did.
-I created a folder on my desktop called Fitness and dragged all my workout pins into the folder.
-I then created a pdf of the workouts in Pixelmator (you can use Adobe) and printed it out onto an 8.5" x 11"
-I cut the workouts out and paired similar ones together. Taping the workouts back to back. I then used self laminating sheets (found at Walmart precut to this size $1.50 for 5) and boom DONE!
Now when I go to the gym I just grab a workout and get to it. SO much easier for me and my workouts can't get all gross and sweaty anymore. No idea why it took me so long to come up with this one.
Also this right here is my favorite workout at the moment. I can burn up to 650 calories in 45 minutes, and that's with a 5 minute cool down. It really isn't too hard, I try to beat my previous stride count each time.

Floral Bouquet Headbands // Shop Update
I added a few new floral bouquet headbands to the shop recently. Every single one is one of kind, won't be another exactly like it. I love making these for special occassions and weddings. If you know anyone who might be interested, send them over.
I'll go ahead and answer a few questions I get about the headbands.
- No, they aren't those tight metal headbands that give you headaches after a few hours. I can wear them all day and feel great. I usually stretch mine out a bit when I first make a new one, let it sit out for 24hrs stretched out (just put the headband on something where the bands have to stretch).
- Yes, they are durable. I'm not advising you to drop it on your floor, but you will not have flowers falling off. I test each headband for loose flowers after making each one.
- Not waterproof. Like most jewelry you might not want to swim in it. Wet hair, no problem. Raining outside, no problem. Scuba diving, PROBLEM. Use common sense.
- Will the colors fade?? They won't fade unless you plan on spending about a week in the blaring sun with your headband on. Otherwise, your headband will stay brightly colored for many years.
- Maintenance. Has dust gotten into your flower petal details? It happens. I advise using a paintbrush or clean make up brush to maintain the headbands. If you HAVE to use water make sure you dry it immediately.
Still on the fence about getting your very own headband?? This week only headbands ship for FREE!! Use code FREESHIPHB at checkout. I promise you will love these headbands every day of your life, yes they are that amazing!

SeaWheeze Half Marathon // Registered
Last night when I was online drooling over Lululemon's clothing I saw an advertisement for their annual half marathon in Vancouver B.C. I immediately wanted to do it and Rob said 'let's go for it'. We registered immediately and I scored a hotel with my points. We just have to start saving for airfare!!
I'm so pumped for this race and that I get to do it with Rob. Also that it will be our first vacation since the wedding. So much to look forward to and we both get free Lululemon shorts for running the race. There is apparently a huge after party and we cannot wait to explore the city. It feels so nice to have a partner in crime and one that is willing to run with me. I love being married!

2013's Best Party
WHAT A WEEKEND!!! I don't know if I've had that much fun in my life. Rob & I's wedding reception took place Saturday evening at the prettiest country club. Everything went perfectly and I don't think I stopped smiling. Rob's parents did an amazing job hosting the reception and every detail was perfect.
We had so many friends and family come from out of town, we both felt very special. I'm not even sure how to put into words Saturday night, but after the song 'Ain't No Mountain High' I don't think we left the dance floor. I felt so good in my dress and I never got anxious at all.
I've been receiving texts and messages all weekend saying how much fun it was and seeing candids of the night. I love every single one of them. I asked Rob is we could do this again, haha.

The First Step Is The Hardest.
I've heard it before, the first step is always the hardest. Especially getting back on the healthy wagon. My knee injury and the wedding planning have all taken it's toll on my fitness routine and our eating. I didn't really gain weight, but I don't have the tone I used to have pre-wedding. Weird how that works, but I'm determined to get back in my hardcore exercise addiction habits. However, taking that first step has been hard. All I've thought about is how much I use to be able to do or how fast I could run miles, and I'm far from that, it's been un-motivating.
Last weekend, a new friend asked me to join her for an Iron Tribe workout. I could have made a million excuses not to go, 9AM on a Saturday, the people there lift really impressive things, I'm a runner.... the list goes on. BUT I WENT. And it kicked my butt and I couldn't even wash my hair for 3 days (arms were SO sore), but it brought back that feeling. The feeling of not thinking you can do what you're doing, but then you do it and it feels amazing. I remembered how I was addicted to that feeling.
And so Sunday, I got up in the middle of the million things I had to get done and walked 4.5 miles with the dogs. It only took 71 minutes, which I probably would have wasted online, and I felt great. The rest of the week I've been making healthier decisions and actually craving the gym. I've been cooking great meals under 300 calories and I even made healthy cookies. It feels good to be back in the saddle. I had forgotten how great it feels, and all it took was agreeing to a workout with a friend. Accountability.
So thanks Ruthie for getting me out of bed last Saturday! I owe ya.
p.s. my new shoes came in and I love them. I spent a whole afternoon searching the internet for these sold out babies, AND finally found them for $50 (originally on ASOS for $125) STEAL!!!
