I can't even believe I'm typing this post right now. I'm still in shock. I received a job offer today and I'm on my way to fax over my acceptance papers. I feel so overwhelmed with everything and I'm feeling really fortunate that I have a job when I graduate... really really fortunate.
I start work June 22nd. So that isn't very far away... I'll be relocating back to the South... can't believe I'm saying that. WOW! The plan is to graduate May 28th, and then drive back to Alabama with Russ (because everyone needs a road trip buddy with good music taste) and then a small graduation party June 5th in the backyard. I'm soooo excited, I've never had a graduation party before :) Then I have a few weeks till I fly in to Baton Rouge to begin my job.
A few downsides... I'll be living in a hotel for 3 weeks at time and then flown home for a week, this will happen through the end of December. I'll be working 14-16 hours a day for a total of 60 - 70 hours a week. This means I will probably have to temporarily close the Indie and Chic shop mid June. I'm thinking of only accepting custom orders and wholesale projects through the end of the year. I'm really sad about this, but I may find a way to make it work. I want to be the best employee I can be and not be worried about my own shop while working such long hours.
So yea... that is the run down. Thanks for all the good vibes you guys have been sending me over the last few days. I'm really excited for this next chapter in my life :)
