the future is fast approaching

today was one of those days where I felt like all my dreams were tangible. it was wonderful. and in 11 minutes it's December. December! Which means there are only 31 days left to enjoy 2010.

lots of things will happen in 2011. I hope to graduate college, find a job, have my own place, DECORATE my own place and be on my own totally. Becoming a true adult. In past posts I've talked about being scared and nervous, but I am starting to feel up to the challenge.

So for now I will enjoy December, my last December as a college student. Wow... that just hit me.

my heart is full

Being home was just wonderful. My family is such a bright spot in my life and I can't imagine my life without them. They are just amazing, inspirational people.

The visit was full of one-on-one time with my mom and lots of goofing off.

Thanksgiving dinner was spent at my grandparents assisted living home. It was wonderful and the food was excellent, and no one had to do dishes ;)

All in all it was a great visit, and I only have to wait 2.5 more weeks to go home again. I left 60 degree weather and arrived back to 2 ft of snow, haha. It is officially winter in Northern Wisconsin.

Hope you all had an amazing holiday, where did you spend them? Any favorite dishes or moments?

home

Being home has been wonderful so far.I forgot to bring my camera cord with me so I can't upload any new photos, but I can at least let you know what's going on.

On Sunday, my mom and I took Parker (the puppy) to the dog park. I think I had just as much fun as he did, and I got some great photos of him playing with all the other dogs.

Last night I went to have a dinner date with my grandparents and to play Bingo. I can't remember the last time I had them all to myself. It was such a special time and I will cherish it always. After Bingo, I just hung out with my grandmother, usually I leave, but this time I didn't want to. We ended up reorganizing her closet, which was so much FUN. We were laughing so hard and it was fun finding old vintage pieces she had forgotten she had. It was the best night I've had in a long time, and she was with it mentally. And I know today she may not even remember me being there, but I will and that's all that matters.

Winter Window

I finally finished the window for the winter. I kinda want to make a small tree for the middle, but I will tackle that after Thanksgiving. I think it turned out pretty darn cute, and only cost me $3 for the snowflakes.

It also finally snowed, but it didn't stick (I'm not complaining). But it but me in a very festive mood for the weekend. We are supposed to get more snow later this week, right when I am flying, yay!

I'm really loving my window this year, I had the same room last year, but I don't remember it being this amazing. I think it's the way my room is set up this year, I have my crafty desk close to it. :)

How are you guys? Has it snowed where you are? Are you starting to decorate?

The Trade Fair

So Saturday was the trade fair at my college. It was put together by a class and featured local artists. It was pretty rainy/snowy so some artists didn't show up, but those that did were amazing. I got to watch a potter, talk with an organic farmer and a a student who tans leather.

It was really rainy, so I had to break out my pink rain boots and a happy skirt.

I led a workshop on making headbands, and a few guys came over and played with the felt. They didn't make headbands, but they came up with some really creative designs, haha. It was a lot of fun and worth getting up early.

there it is, better late than never. Feels so good to have this done. And now I can move on to my next project, which I think is going to be a mini about Spence and I  <3

Transition

It's a time of transition in Northern Wisconsin. There should be snow on the ground, yesterday it was 60 degrees. I'm enjoying it though, usually our Fall is only a month long and it's my last one here. I've been taking lots of photos and decorating in preparation for the snow :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I'm setting up a table for Indie and Chic at my campus's Trade Fair tomorrow morning. Should be fun, I hope ;)

Let Me Upgrade Ya

Little Mac, my fish, got an upgrade the other night. I felt like the worst pet owner ever with him living in that tiny bowl.

So I dusted off my trusty fish tank from Freshman year. It doesn't have gravel yet, but he is sooo much happier. He also can see his reflection in the corners and spends a lot of time there, staring.

One of my friends quotes Finding Nemo every time he does it, "I can't see Flo." haha
