Running In Circles

My life has been crazy the last few weeks. Trying to secure an apartment from 2,000 miles away, taking apart my room so it can be made into a sewing room when I leave, and finding time for friends and family in between. Anyways, I am feeling very stressed but also very excited. A new chapter is unfolding and right now the possibilities seem endless. I cannot wait to see how my summer unfolds.

I have been spending lots of time with my family, my little cousin graduates HS tomorrow. I am sooo proud of him!

Parker is growing like a weed, he likes to sit in weird positions, he is a character.

My Mom :)

I think I should start this post stating that my mom is my best friend and the person I go to for anything. Although we have had our "mother daughter" problems, she and I get along great on a friend level. She is the best person to ask advice from and also the best person to talk to when I am overwhelmed or had a bad day. My mom knows when something is bothering me and also knows how to drive me crazy :)

I couldn't ask for a better mom, and I know that I am very lucky to have a mom like her. Since I was a baby it's just been her and me, and I'd say we have done very well. She inspires me daily to go after my dreams and never settle. Her childhood dream was to own an sewing shop named TopStitchin' and all the clothes she made she would sew that name into them... decades later she started her very own business, TopStitchin'.

I know there are a lot of great moms out there, but today I want mine to know how special she is to me. I wouldn't be the person I am today without her. So to end this post I'll leave you with my favorite things about my mom :)

- She is an amazing gardner and cook.
- She saves all the cards I've ever given her.
- She is very selfless and often does something out of her way to help someone else.
- She never gives up.
- She can't function without coffee, which makes gift ideas very easy.
- She loves cats, sometimes to a fault... she rescues them all.

- She loves me for me and has let me be me.
